Very cool. Enjoy that wonderful experience!

Do you know that a former US O' Team member, Hillary Saeger (JWOC, WOC), is a rower? ( She participated in a bunch of world champs, and the last few years she has been into coastal rowing.
Her dad & sister are on the ESC.

That's cool! I haven't known anyone who both rowed and orienteered before.

It's Mike Rascher! Won gold in the men's 8 and was setting out controls at Sprint Camp.

At one of the Sprint Camp banquets, Mike did a presentation on what it was like to train at the Olympic level back in the 90's. It was really fascinating, especially because it happened before the tech and data boom in sports, where it was all done on paper (workouts, nutrition, etc).

If I remember correctly, Mike wasn't into rowing, but someone saw him on his college campus and recruited him, solely because of his build.
