Sorry to hear things are out of balance and that it's both painful and frustrating. It's all such a crazy, interconnected web, isn't it? Sleep - nutrition - physical activity - physical wellbeing - mental focus - emotional wellbeing. Sometimes that whole cascade effect can make it really hard not to feel like everything's going in the wrong direction. But the positive side is that sometimes little moves in one of those areas can also create good waves in others. Hoping for some good waves to come your way. ;-)

Campbelllv’s comment is spot on.
I can relate, as running always hurts somewhere these days…so I’m not running much, which is tough for my mental health, which is in turn especially important in my life right now (as for all of us, of course). And the past few years have made me realize I’m a stress eater, with chocolate my comfort food of choice. That has not been good for my weight or self image, and it all goes in circles.
So, I feel ya! Hang in there. We’re all in this together.

you're actually awesome bridget, I get that you feel crap about not running, but you're still doing so much and you're sticking to it. and you're still crazy fast, and I highly doubt that's gonna change anytime soon. keep taking care of yourself, fueling is important no matter what stage of training you're in. it takes a lot of effort to recover from injuries, and you're doing it, which is impressive. Sending you a massive hug <3

You’re fucking amazing my dude. I know it’s sad to not run but you are taking care of your body. Love you <3

Oh I feel this. Remember you are a person who likes to run, not a “runner.” The way our identity is wrapped up in our sports makes this whole cycle even worse. You’ve got this, you’re worth it, and you’re doing a really good job listening to your body and what it needs when it comes to running lower mileage. Hugs.
