I'd thought about it but i'm really glad I didn't sign up...

It doesn't look like the best conditions for it, sadly. I'm still getting a bit of FOMO for the 50k classic though XD

Is Megan going to do the 50km? Wonder how she would have done a few years ago if the women would have raced that rather than a 30km?

Is Nakkertok going to have any snow left for the races? The weather forecast is +15 today and tomorrow and warm and rain the rest of the week.

Two frustrating Nationals in a row for Nakkertok. The previous one was just before Quebec City WC's and attention was on that.

Nevin - Looks like Megan is signed up for the 50, and I'm sure it'll be no problem for her.
Stefan - They should hopefully have a good base from snow making (manmade snow melts slower than natural). They don't even need that many trails... several years back US ski nationals did a 50k on something like a 1.7km loop

They stock piled a bunch of human made snow a few weeks ago and have been shoveling the snow from the woods onto the trails. Hopefully that’ll get them through and there will be at least one night below 0 to make snow. I think they have only a few short loops that will be open, max 3.75km… so it’ll be 50k of up, down, and turning !

50km on a 3.75km loop sounds way more interesting than 10km on a 400m track
