Did you have any trouble getting across the river?

None at all considering I was never even near that location. I don't even think the plane flew over that area on approach - and definitely not on takeoff. My watch usually catches satellite lock really quickly, so I don't usually look at it when I start a run. I should have suspected something was amiss when my 'average pace' at the turnaround was a little over 4 min/km. Which is doable in an all out sprint, but certainly not over 4 miles...

GPS devices get somewhat confused when you start them up a long distance from the last place they thought they were, I believe.

Any thoughts to going to the training in western MA this coming weekend?

I really should get out and see if i remember how to orienteer. Hoping to have the UConn map 95% done by the end of the week so hopefully should be good for Sunday. Perhaps I'll ask Bridget the map and print my own just in case I can't get there for Sunday. Looking like rain at the moment - I may hold off on a final decision until I see where I am mapping and how ugly the weather looks. I need to get your amp back to you as well.

I put no faith in forecasts that far in advance.

Neither do I, but I usually check and then monitor as it changes.
