Wasn't it on the building corner? The other control on a path junction. I struggle to understand at times when ppl MP especially in a sprint.

Indeed. Was definitely within the 25m so would have been grounds for a complaint at a higher-level event, but no-one was too upset at this one (especially as the format of the event meant that there was effectively no penalty for a first-round mispunch).

Jim some people run so fast their brain switches off so they see a control and punch it without reading the map properly (or CP number at all). I know of a few high level orienteers who are notorious for this!

I did wonder how Leith was able to win the final despite having mispunched in the first round...

Some were suggesting that Simon was the moral winner for being the highest-placed person who hadn't mispunched at some stage during the day.
