...on recovery ... guess you're maybe following that anyway.... maybe helpful with tired legs. I'm commenting on the wrong log, I know, I'm being tech challenged this morning...

Yeah I’ve been reading and wondering if it’s related… been trying to include all vitamins in my diet but of course not easy

I don't know if the moral of my story is necessarily everyone should take vitamin D. Although I have read that all athletes should be supplementing with it during the winter if they live north or south of 35°.

Really I think the important thing is to believe that, if you're doing most things right but your body isn't responding the way you might expect, then you should probably get bloodwork or a doctor's opinion.

And really I don't have any big conclusions to take away from this stuff yet. I'm feeling much better in training, but competitions will be where we really see what's going on

It's your second statement... kind of like when Thomas was doing everything apparently right with his knee injury way back before surgery, only to find Lyme in his knee joint.
And women have their ferritin and iron levels possibly fluctuating monthly.

Why not take a good multivitamin... cheap insurance for any vitamin or mineral deficiency.?

Just don’t take anything that will get the relay team DQed!!!

Apart from what Alison said, there is a lot of research showing the negative effects to your gut's microbiome from over supplementing.

There are simply some nutrients you get plenty of through your diet, and you do not need to take massive amounts of them, which can possibly throw your system out of balance.

And that doesn't consider how many nutrients can reduce the absorption of others when taken together.

It seems better to pinpoint the deficiencies present in each person's lifestyle and supplement specifically for those if needed.

Yeah I’m not taking any serious stuff for sure, only supplement I take is iron and then multivitamins is just like drink tablets or some vitamin drinks from the grocery store. + trying to fill in the gaps with certain foods every now and then. Of course won’t know if I’m missing something without a doctors visit
