| StoraMoo: | You poor boy, to have that song in your head, I feel sorry for you. |

| Kiki: | No, you should feel sorry for those of us who clicked the link and had to endure that hair. |

| Swampfox: | I have been asked by the Citizens for a Civil Society (CCS) to pass on a polite message to each of you: "No more soup for you!!!"
Moreover, researchers have looked into it and using the scientific method (eschewing the rhythm method favored by certain of the religious right), have reasonably determined that: 64% of all people who claim to not like power pop are in fact alien space invaders with long, straw-like tongues they use to suck the life fluids out of their victims, and 35% are gangstas who can't read, write, or spell "gangsters". That leaves 1% unaccounted for, which turns out to be Sen. Clinton, dodging intense sniper fire while engaging in dramatic diplomatic missions of vital international significance. |

| jjcote: | That song was on the K-Tel compilation record that I bought back in the 1970s. I wonder how many of the songs on it I could remember if I tried.
I think Swampfox needs an outfit like the one that Eric Carmen was wearing in that video. |

| kissy: | I don't! |

| jjcote: | I found the record on ebay! I don't have to search my brain! And I even found a place to download the whole thing (MP3 files plus JPGs of the cover) for free!
There appears to also be a CD with the same cover art*, but with only 10 songs, and half of those weren't on the original vinyl. I'll note that the original record had rather truncated versions, in order to fit 22 of them on, but at least they were by the original artists, unlike many of the K-Tel records that consisted exclusively of cover versions by a band called "The Sound Effects". *The cover art is so blatantly copied that, even though it's a CD, it appears to still have the note, "STEREO (can also be played on mono)" in the upper left corner! |

| Swampfox: | What indeed would haunted life forms of the 70s done without K-Tel records and other various flotsam that appeared mostly in ads on late night TV.
Anyway, I don't need outfits like that. I still got my guitar! |
