Grant: Nice to see the coppers finally caught up with you Shep. You have been on the most wanted list for years I hear.

Also very nice to hear that you are an advocate for more Police funding, you can just slip your contribution my way under the table if you like?

Shep: yeh i heard the police are so under-funded that 84% of police stations around the country don't have enough money to lubricate the brakes on their cars!

blairtrewin: Melbourne gives you a balloon. I managed to get mine all the way back to the Bureau building (about 2km away in those days) on my bike, only to have it pop as I went through the door.

OJ: count yourselves lucky, all I got was a receipt and a bill for outstanding debts from the library.

robplow: a friend of mine in Japan got booked last weekend. he was doing 116 on a freeway where the speed limit was 80 at the time. The speed limits are variable depending on conditions (the absolute max is never more than 100) but the limit is often reduced for no real reason and everyone ignores it. He was indignant claiming it was almost unheard of to be booked for less than 40 over the limit in Japan.
