| kadley: | Actually it ran for a couple periods back in March and then stopped. Has yet to resume, despite ideal weather. Redrilled one of the holes yesterday, since they will seal up after 4-5 weeks. Did not help. Then went out and trimmed a few branches that were dangling over the field -- and sap started pouring out of the cuts.
I've made about a gallon of syrup so far, enough for our use but a third of what I'd expect for the dozen taps I have out. There's enough for you, too, if you stop by! |
