Wow! AWESOME. FAST.
By the way, speeds on bike are lower at sea level, since there is more air resistance.

I don't feel fast at all. I just started the strength and speed part of the training and my body hurts all over the place. I was trying to haul a$% on the last run, trying to maintain like 730 and I had to dig deeper than I was expecting. Some dood no the trace was keeping up with me while I was cruising in aero and that wasn't making me happy. Its strange, when I try to crush and go 25mph, I kill myself, but sometimes when I'm just cruising at 80% (what I would consider endurance race pace) I look down and see like 23mph solid. "Fitness is what happens while you practice technique."
I find it very difficult to go fast, not from a strength standpoint, there are just so many different forces occurring that are trying to ruin your form, your whole body has to be prepared. I've been doing core stuff almost everyday and trying to concentrate on top part of body working against lower part of body, twisting and lifting the legs. I need to figure out a way to work balance into the workout.

well, don't forget that the air resistance doesn't scale up linearly - so 23mph uses much less energy than 25mph.
best to underdo it a bit for the half, and have more gas on the run. 23 mph is fast.
when you put in more ride time, you will improve a lot. i think you have a lot of fast twitch, and it takes a bit to recruit those fibers, so they are a bit of dead weight until they kick in.
but, it's early season. just get through your first half with NO ego. let your goal be a range of 5hrs to 6.5hrs. you want a positive experience, no matter what. just race within yourself. that's the whole key to ironman. one can sort of fake a half ironman, and one can also spectacularly blow up on them too. you may test your limits and blow up. but - hey - then you learn where they are!!!
