kupackman: Softball double-header was rained out.

The Royals lost today.

Before the M's v Royals game, Adam and I went to Peco's BBQ, which is in the SoDo neighborhood near the stadium. It's supposedly one of the best places to get BBQ in Seattle.

And from the taste buds of a Kansas City guy and a Oklahoman... it ain't all that great. Very disappointing. The meat (beef brisket) was very tender, I'll give them that... but the sauces were way out of whack. There were three choices: mild, medium, and hot. We got the medium, and it was super spicy! BBQ is about the taste and flavor, not burning your mouth off!

If we ever go there again, we're bringing our own sauce. (imported Arthur Bryant's from KC!)

Spike: Bummer about the Royals. I listened to the first couple of innings on the radio and didn't have high hopes from Bale as the starting pitcher. Is there a railroad line right next to the stadium? I kept hearing train whistles on the radio coverage.

kupackman: Yeah... I figured going in that it would be a rough night for the Royals pitchers. I wanted to see Greinke pitch, but we were off a day.

It was a frigid cold day at the ballpark (mid 40's at first pitch). Yes, the stadium is in an industrial zone with a lot of trains and cargo ships unloading, etc.
