In the long run I don´t think it should matter very much, but it can definitely be a mental thing whether you stick with the pack or lose time early in the race. If you know where the other teams put their best runners you have the option to put your own best runners on the same legs. On the other hand you don´t really know that the teams that are published now will be the final teams on race day... |
