| bubo: | I doubt that an O suit would be the proper attire for going to a pub - even in Sweden ;) |

| jjcote: | Oh no! How will Cristina manage to drink heavily?
On an unrelated note, I was intrigued to see your name, Leif, on the credits for the old version of the map that we ran on yesterday for the US Relay Champs (Mendon Ponds). At least I think that's where I saw your name, I can't find the map right now. Was that you? |

| Cristina: | I was under the impression that an O suit was always proper attire! Especially if one has just finished running in it.
Thankfully, I was wearing more normal clothing on the flight, so I should be okay for the heavy drinking... especially when it's time to go back for a second round and I don't want to be recognized as "that weird American in the pajamas". |

| bubo: | Oh no! Is my name still on that map?
I only spent an afternoon there in 1982 - helping Anders Björklund with some (very little) of the field-work on the first version of that map (it must have been revised since then?), but he insisted to put my name on it... |

| bubo: | Of course an O suit should always be proper attire - I agree.
The thing is that some pub-owners may not be inclined to be of the same opinion. I guess that thing about 'pajamas' may be more along their line of thought... |

| jjcote: | The map has been revised -- your name was on the copy that I had from 1990. The current edition seems to have no credits (and no legend, no title, etc.).
Cristina, you may just need to pick your pub carefully. Some pubs may welcome pretty girls in pajamas. Then again, your O clothes don't actually look much like pajamas. |

| feet: | Leif: I promised to show you a scan of a ski-O event there about 18 months ago and never did. In this thread you can see some of the relay maps. Better late than never...
The current edition was reduced in size under time pressure from the full version which was made in 2001. Base map by Stirling, fieldwork and cartography by Mark Dominie. Limited updating 2001-08 by ROC members. |
