| hel vino: | wtf who gave you that training plan? If you want to do 10K in 47 minutes do 7:55/ mile "tempo" runs! The pace you ran sounds ideal ~41:30 10K. Check out: http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/mcmillanrunningcalc... |

| Becks: | Cheers Helen...the problem is I haven't ever done 10km measured so have no idea what I'm capable of - this is a training plan worked out from my last run which I measured vaguely at 12km and wasn't really running properly hard on, and then worked out a 10km pace eg. total bollocks. I'm doing the Edinburgh 10km next weekend though, so then I'll have a proper time and a better training plan sorted! |

| hel vino: | Good luck, just don't go off too hard otherwise you die at 6k. I do my easy runs about 7:30/mi-8:00 (anything over 8 is "recovery"); tempo ~6:30-7:00; reps ~6:00-6:30 always short recovery & never "fast".
