Rosco: what's happened to the vdot thing?!

#  Posted 2008-04-30 16:16:49
Alibongo: Yeah, I was wondering that too. You can put in your time manually to get vdot and predictions, though.

Jon X: I know - I put this in and tried all sorts to get vdot - couldn't solve it though!

Maybe now it is one of the bonus things you only get if you make a donation to support the site- which i really must get around to....

Elle: Call me stupid..... but where do you find this vdot thing??

#  Posted 2008-04-30 17:45:00
Rosco: That's the point - you can't find it! But the bit Ali is talking about can be found at Training-Paces

Elle: Now it all makes perfect sense...

Having had a wee play on Training-Paces I can see why a 50 minute 10k has remained elusive - it predicts 50.30! But, perhaps I can get under 50 before I'm 50?!

Jon X: aha - I have made it appear!

Try putting in the climb amount even though it is zero, seemed to do the trick.

caspian: Doesn't seem to be a 'terrain' option, though - my projected times on the basis of the Blackrock 5 aren't inspiring, but then it doesn't seem to take into account that we were slipping through the sand and sploshing through the sea...

Alibongo: It's difficult to run flat out through the sea... The vdot is obviously not that sophisticated!
