| biddy: | actually i checked the population of stanthorpe before i wrote that, however the webiste i got the info from thought stanthorpe was the greatest town in the southern hemisphere and that everyone in there right mind should move there... so no wonder its wrong |

Stanthorpe is the only place in Australia whose local council has written to us to complain that our observing site isn't cold enough (we have whole files of correspondence from places like Ballarat and Devonport where the local powers-that-be think that the low temperatures we report give their towns a bad name). |
