JanetT: Coffee is not out of the question if you use skim or no milk and no sugar. That's what I drink. It may take some getting used to -- and a good tasting coffee.

Go for it!

Terry: Yeah, the stuff I've read mostly says that there's no health problem resulting from moderate caffeine consumption. I think I may have even seen that moderate consumption is correlated with good health or longevity.

But if you do for some reason want to go off completely, I will share with you that, when I did so, I felt really lame-brained for three weeks. It was tough at work because I got close to nothing done, and I wasn't completely sure I'd ever pop out of it.

Bash: I couldn't give up my morning coffee addiction, but I do try to cut back if I'm going to be racing early in the day. I've had some scary arrhythmias in the outdoors, and caffeine is a bad influence in that department. Other than that, there don't seem to be many proven health issues.
