| DInglis: | Can you provide us with links to those events?
I am intrigued by the urban dare... |

| kupackman: | Links added.
The first one is a local one and will be in Capitol Hill, and apparently there was one similar last year in Ballard. You can travel on foot only. From looking at the websites only (I've participated in none of them), the other ones are all pretty much the same format: teams of two, travel on foot or public transit only, solve clues/riddles/puzzles, and do random tasks. The only differences between them are the entry fee, how big the prizes are, and how elaborate some of the tasks can be. For example, the City Chase series is the largest in the world, and there's a national championship race, following by a world champs. One of the orienteers I've met in Canada has won several of the Canadian City Chase events. Apparently, there was an Urban Dare in Seattle last October (the only one of the bigger ones to have previously visited Seattle). However, I can't find any results or pictures or anything... |

| DInglis: | Too bad the last two of those are during US Champs... =( |

| kupackman: | Yeah...
I think it's odd that there are two on the same weekend. I think the Urban Dare people picked the wrong weekend. The City Chase is going to have a gazillion people there, and then there's another one the following day? How many people are gonna do two in one weekend? So you're going to US Champs, then? |
