| TBorish: | That's so cool that you can see your route (even though it's only in one place)! I need to figure out how to upload courses from my GPS watch onto my computer. Right now, all I use it for is telling distance. And good job with the tidal flat crossing! I just assumed since there was water there last time I was at the park that there would be water there today, so I didn't even consider the option. |

| kupackman: | What kind of GPS watch do you have? Mine is pretty slick in that it wirelessly transfers whatever is on my watch to the website, without any cables or anything. Makes is a lot easier.
When I was driving to the park, I noticed that the tide was waaaay out. I hadn't looked at a map of the park recently, so I didn't remember if that knowledge would come in handy or not, but at least I would know. When I first thought about that option, I was looking at that inlet, and every time I stole a glance down there, it looked just like a narrow stream with gravel/mud on either side. The more and more I looked at it, the more I realized that it was feasible. I pay more attention to the tides now, because there was a meet a year or two ago where knowing that the tide was low (I didn't) would have saved me a lot of time with a oceanside route. |

| kupackman: | There's a sprint at Canadian O' Champs this August that will be "in the ocean", as the map is underwater at high tide, and exposed at low tide. http://www.orienteering.nb.ca/coc2008/ |
