| Fly'n: | Was it a hard or did you just make a meal out of it?
Hows the terrain legs coming along, guess it was pretty rocky on the weekend which is another running skill again |

| Georgia: | It was hard but not that hard. I lost contact with the map and then was screwed, I just cant relocate here! What should have been maybe a 30sec mistake turned into a complete nightmare.
Still struggling a bit, Im so motivated now that Im sick and cant train. When I can get back into it its going to be all orienteering and terrain running, also hopefully heading down to Göteberg far a week soon. Apparently that place takes tough swedish terrain to a whole new level! |

| Fly'n: | Yeah for O-ringen we ran on the map next to the JWOC classic map, it didn't look too bad but man it took it out of you.
Relocation has the same fundamentals anywhere, STOP, think and look around, only move when sure or to get more info in a controlled manner. The biggest thing is getting the confidence to know where you are/where you have been/where you are going, most of the time on maps over there so that when you are un-sure or go slightly off you dont start really second guessing yourself or panic, and it makes relocation a bit easier having that confidence in trusting yourself to know, "I was 'here', 'then' and since I've ...(seen, crossed, gone x direction/distance)" |

| Greig: | Relocation is harder in Sweden because often there are no big open areas or tracks nearby that make it really easy. You'll improve quickly and in no time the mistakes will drop back to 30secs. Greg is right too. |

| Georgia: | It seems harder because Im not confident with how things are mapped. What follows are some of my thoughts while searching for no. 6.
Will this be open rock or just a form line? is that a rock or a knoll? Is this a track or just a path formed by the hundreds of people who are running past me as I stand still feeling very confused. This should be a big hill, why isn't it? (stupid helper contours!) Will this rock even be on the map? Nothing is on the map! Where the fuck am I!? |
