| Kat: | Just think about it as a test to see where you are, rather than as a goal race, and the nervousness should die down somewhat.
18:45 sounds like a really fast time, but it also sounds doable (if not now, then in the not-too-distant future) given your workout today. Good luck!! |

| arcticQn: | It sounds to me that you are incredibly well prepared! You know what you want to run and you know you can do it. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing or wearing!
(if it were me, I'd just go out there with no preparation whatsoever, blasting out of the start gate and die on the 5th lap. But that's how I keep myself from getting nervous...the key is no preparation! Not sure if it's the right thing to do though..!) |

| khall: | I think preparation is good :-) And you are well prepared. Run your own race, know what splits you want to run and ignore everyone else. If you are going to run around in circles (or ovals), at least you can take advantage of the ability to know exactly how fast you are running! I don't think the lack of spikes will make that much difference.
Good luck! |

| coach: | Yeah, just stick to your goal and pace, and hey, if you get to the last lap and have lots of kick left, then go for it!
Then next time you'll be able to think about going faster. Stay with your plan (it works in O' too!). |
