PG: You're forgetting the part where you went zipping ahead just before we turned around and had the long climb. I was thinking I was never going to keep up. Though I did feel better towards the top, I suppose because my weight was dropping....

Charlie: Rhonda can be like that, too. Whenever I run roads with Rhonda she is determined to keep a half stride ahead. If I attempt to draw even, she re-asserts dominance. On the other hand, on trails she likes to run from behind. That is our custom, but I think it is largely because she fears the wrong turn, and wants to make sure she knows where to go. It is also the case when we go skiiing, either x-country or downhill.

PBricker: Charlie: Sounds like Rhonda and Peter have something in common: they like to control the pace from the front. Not like us laid back types.

Peter: I'm still puzzled by why the oceans don't all pool at the poles, which are significantly "downhill" from the equator. The Coriolis forces do push water towards the Equator, but could that be the whole answer? Need to reseach this.

Swampfox: It's even worse if you do a rogaine with Peter. There, he prefers to lead by a half mile or a mile or so. If you get any closer he'll start squirting you with his water bottle. But if you fall any further behind he will stop and turn around and while you're catching up he will call you things like "wimp", "slowpoke", "lardass", or his favorite--"pudge legs".
