cnoc: You are the only senior irish runner, known by most irish juniors, that has qualified for a WOC A Final.

At an irish championships is it not setting an extremely bad example by not running hard in the one team/club event of the year? By all means, saving yourself for the middle is perfectly fine but making a big mistake on the first control then just taking it easy cause you weren't going to win...

Not a good example. Its just my take on it.

Eoin: OK, but what if you haven't got a team? 3ROC looks like it didn't really have a 3rd runner this year, not that I know much about Rory or his future prospects. His run in the classic didn't auger well for the relay. At least Andrew went on to finish and give the rest of his team a run. Why Rory went 2nd is anybody's guess.

Andrew: A stable run by me and I would have sent my team out not more than 4min down. If the courses were properly gaffled and, admittedly, if I'd been paying attention to the map, that time would have been even less.
I know, too, what I'm doing. It is risky doing 3 100% efforts in a row less than one week after getting practically no sleep and running The Long Night at Tio Mila.
Sometimes you have to make choices and sacrifices.
