| ebone: | It looks to me like you never touched first base. What do the rules say about that? ;-)
I meant to do this for all of my at-bats, but I forgot. Wow--that's really over the top. If you love your new watch so much, why don't you marry it? |

| DInglis: | It's good to know that orienteering adults are so mature.

| kupackman: | I realized that I don't need to record every at-bat.
I thought that if I tried to record the entire game, that the watch would go into power save mode after 5 minutes of inactivity (which I'm thinking would happen quite often). | DInglis: | Whatever I record during the day just gets automatically uploaded to the computer and internet when I walk in the door.
Wait, fer serious? How much did you pay for this watch again? |

| kupackman: | Yea, fer serious.
The 405 has ANT+ technology, which works like Bluetooth, but requires a lot less power. (It'd be even cooler if it was actually Bluetooth and you could have the watch output realtime GPS data to a Bluetooth phone or something, but I'm digressing...) It comes with an ANT+ receiver, which plugs into a USB port on my computer. Whenever the watch gets within 10 feet or so of the receiver, all of the data you recorded since the last upload automatically gets uploaded. Once it's uploaded to the computer, I it'll also automatically upload to the Garmin Connect website, the Garmin Training Center (local software), or both, depending on your settings. I literally walk in the door, and bam, it's there. If you're looking for something similar and cheaper, REI has the Garmin 205 for $125 and the Garmin 305 for $165 during their current sale. |

| DInglis: | Hmm... depending on the state of my budget after working this summer I may have to pick one up. Thanks for the info! That's awesome! |
