| Nikolay: | Have you found the reason for the Polar's HR transmitter not functioning reliably.
I have seen that number of times on my polar. I think different shirt's/ upper body suits' fabrics might be to blame in reducing the signal strength from the transmitter to the watch. |

| kupackman: | Would a New Balance chest strap work with a Polar receiver? If so, would you be interested in mine?
My NB watch is pretty much useless (wrist-strap hinges broken, LCD display too dark), but the chest strap still works. My new watch isn't compatible with the old chest strap, so I don't need it anymore. If you want it, it's yours. |

| ebone: | Nikolay, I'm pretty sure it's the strap (or the watch) rather than what I'm wearing over it, because the problem happens most of the time now, whereas I almost never used to have problems, and I haven't changed my running wardrobe significantly.
Thank you for the offer, Patrick. I suspect that it wouldn't work, since the Polar signal is coded to distinguish it from other HRM wearers' signals. If I'm wrong about this, then I'll gladly accept. |

| Nikolay: | Changing the batteries of the strap might help. |

| ebone: | I changed them not too long ago, so I don't think that's it, but maybe. |
