FB: I noticed you guys only took 66 minutes. does that include going back and looking for the 'missing piece'? If so then you guys totally kicked our butt on that leg too (in addition to the paddle)

Bash: No, it doesn't include the lost passport search - the clock stopped when we crossed the finish line the first time. The time does include a sloppy paddle-trek transition though - the one where we were chatting with you, the tow rope was misplaced, etc. We had one error on the final control of the trek, which for us was the Sugar Shack. We lost 5 minutes there, but otherwise the trek went smoothly.

It's hard to get too excited about results from a race where we DNF'ed, but I noticed that we were in 2nd place overall on the Trek + Paddle sections, 3 minutes behind you. Given that our sense of urgency was a little fried because we figured we were DQ'ed after the Bike, I'm happy to see that. At least we DNF'ed in style. Part of AR is fighting to the end even when there seems to be no point, since there are often surprises. In this case, there actually *was* no point, but at least it was good mental practice!
