vmeyer: Yes, I would be happy to go out with Dan on an Orange course. I am game at any of the next three meets.

jtorranc: I'll assume you mean either Great Falls meet and Little Bennett (though Dan and I will be elsewhere than Little Bennett that weekend) rather than Pocahontas and the Great Falls's - I doubt if Dan will go all the way down to Pocahontas in any case. Regardless, thanks for the offer.

vmeyer: Yes, not Pocahontas. And the 2nd GF is probably better than the first since we will be set up inside for the epunching vs out of my car - easier to have someone fill in for me...

Nadim: Perhaps going out for some basic training at Great Falls would be helpful. The pressure of doing things at a meet doesn't lend itself to learning as well. I enjoyed going out there with Peggy early on to practice. She'd point out things we'd pass that I didn't even think to make note of. I started to understand better just what the features really were and how to anticipate them. I wouldn't mind tagging along with Dan in the woods sometime if she wants help.

Going over a race after a meet helped me too. I think it's easily discouraging to many people to do very much in Winter though it worked the opposite for me. I like getting out in winter because I feel less hemed in by the cold if I sweat in it.
