| Lunaeventer: | Depends what you want to achieve. If it is to improve your cardiopulmonary endurance then it won't matter what form of exercise you use to achieve that as you have your HR monitor to maintain the level you are working at.
Training tho is specific, so only running will get you better at running & biking will get you better at biking. Relates to different muscles being used & neuromuscular programming/co-ordination. |

Cycling will help the running, but not as much as running would. Cycling does have another thing going for it though... low impact so ruduced injury risk (except when one uses their hands / elbows / face as braking mechanisms !!!!) |
