| JimBaker: | How do clubs keep their OCAD files, distribute them to organizers, and track which version is latest, and so forth? |

| Thomas Graupner: | The Manitoba Orienteering Association keeps its OCAD files on its website at this page. Organizers require a username and password to download the maps. Changes are sent to my father, who maintains the version number and history. |

| bbrooke: | Ditto for RMOC. We have a password-protected document repository for OCAD files. The password is given out to a limited number of club members (mappers, course setters). Since our site is built on the Joomla platform, I use the "DocMan" plugin as the document repository. We have a manageable number of meets, such that I can just ping the course setter after each meet, to find out if they've made any updates to the OCAD file. |

| pi: | GVOC is running a server with FreeVCS (which has since changed name http://jedivcs.sourceforge.net/). It's a simple version control server, but it provides user login/pswd, ability to check out maps for updates, version history of files, backup of database and the ability to see who is working on what map. A bit overkill maybe, but it has worked for us. |

| ebuckley: | Well, call us low-tech. I keep all the SLOC maps on my hard drive with backup copies kept on the machines of two other club members. Every six months or so I burn a CD with the latest updates and copies of course files. If a course setter wants a copy, I just email it to them. |

| EricW: | DVOA's system sounds similar to SLOC, with Fred Kruesi filling ebuckley's role. |
