| bubo: | Apparently the spring weather is moving around totally oblivious of what would be a proper behaviour and without any concern whatsoever for orienteers. The fact seems to be that the nice weather we had in Sweden last week has gone west and the snow you had was sent east?
When I now look out my window thereīs 5 cm of snow covering the ground and itīs still coming down :( Not the best weather for the orienteering race we ran earlier today or for Kopparkavlen tomorrow. Could it be that those damn Norwegians that are responsible for this - they always like to play pranks on Syttende Mai... |

| Swampfox: | We have now made a complete switch from Winter to Summer, with no Spring in between. It's really quite odd, and all the flowers are in some considerable confusion, needing, perhaps, some additional guidance as to bloom, skip blooming and go straight to Fall senescence, or whether to maybe gamble on early retirement and head to Florida and the occasional hurricane.
As it happens, I have a Norwegian expert nearby at the moment, and she claims that this couldn't possibly be the result of any Norwegian hijinks. But maybe she was only dissembling--I am not expert at dissemblent and can never be sure. My advice: eat some little pickled minnows straight from the jar, and wash it down with some Mountain Dew. Or some Absolute, if the circumstances absolutely demand it. PS--People say my advice is usually very bad, so I suppose it must be so, alas. |

| bubo: | Well, the switch back to (at least) spring was rather quick here too - no summer in sight yet. As could be expected it was only over the weekend that we had really bad weather - itīs back to normal spring weather again (whatever that is these days?)
On the other hand I went out this afternoon to hang some ribbons for tomorrowīs training and had to cope with lots of snow and cold water still in the forest - The training will be in a true wilderness area, very nice and open forest but heavy running with soft moss and marshes - and the reason for the snow is mainly that this is much higher than the surrounding 'flatlands' and thus gets more snow. |
