Craig: considering you only started swimming again a couple of weeks ago after a 4 month break.

MTBjen: Did he mention that the 400m PB was swum while training 6 days a week, at 6km per session?

fletch: I'm with Craig - how quick do you think you're gonna get back to a PB? The amount you've improved over 2 weeks is awesome. Not to mention that you just did the 200m TT after a series of max sprints. I'm sure that doesn't make you go any faster.
And even 4 months ago it''s not lie you strung together a long consistent block of swim training is it? how long since you've regularly done swim 3+ times per week for more than 12 weeks???
If you're trying to get yourself in shape for Anaconda, I reckon your swimming could look pretty strong by November...

Tooms: Mmm, all this logic leaves me cold. Brrr. Sheer raw emotion, drive and desire is what it's all about. And a selective faulty memory. If I can get my 400m time down to 5.30 by November I'll be looking a lot better at Anaconda than I was last year. Particularly as I'll be running and riding better too. paddling... well, I'll get on top of the swimming first. I'm guessing my 400m time would be around 6.05 at the moment, I'm unlikely to test it out as that distance at pace would be very ugly! And to answer your question Fletch, 12-weeks would be pushing any block in the last 3 or 4 years...
