Greig: How'd you calculate the height gain?

pcbrent: Stu told me.

EdricB: It may be wildy out. I estimated we ran about 75km of which about 50% was flat. So thats 37.5km of hills, 18.75km of uphill. At an average grade of 10% thats 1875m elevation gain. Rounded off to 1900. Would have been interesting to see what an altimeter showed but of course they're not allowed in rogaining so we'll never know. Why do you ask?

Greig: It just seemed like a flat course and my legs didn't feel like they had done that much climbing. I haven't actually counted contours or anything like that so I have no idea how much I climbed.

Also the wee silva wheelie thing my partner had seemed to say our route was about 100km including the wiggles between the controls. No idea how accurate they are though.

Nick Harris: yeah we also got ~100km with the silva map measurer.

if your route was 25km shorter then you deserve the win right there!

Anyways - congrats. Seriously impressive win.
