| blairtrewin: | Thought with some of the times you've been doing for longer distances that you might have been a bit faster than 4.47 for 1500, not that there's anything wrong with being a single-pace runner :-). I certainly won't be too upset if you grow up to be a long-distance specialist; it's probably not a bad career move for an aspiring Australian elite, given that pretty well all the male long distance specialists we have in Australia are over 30 (and some of us are closer to 40 than we are to 30).
Do they not run 1500s at school carnivals these days? We used to have 3000s and even had a 5000 once, in which I got to chase Alex Nockels (a name which Radford College readers will recognise - he's a teacher there) around 16 2/3 laps of our school oval one lunchtime. |
