| gas_turbine: | We have ~90 people in our company, and about 80 will run. The company won participation awards for 3 years, but lost last year to a company that had 7 employees and 7 total runners.
We also give a trophy to the fastest Man & Woman. Almost a quarter century ago, I could have won it (15:43 5K), but these days (with 40 extra lbs and 24 extra years to carry) I'd be lucky to hit 8 minute miles. But I should be able to beat a couple of the people who report to me (A total of 5, who are all in their 20's). 3 weeks ago, I would have said I would have beaten them all (because none of them run, although they are all extremely thin.) |
