Jagge: No. Just extra slow ;)

I was shadowing a beginneer on 12 km course. He will run his first Jukola in Tampre, but his main goal is this race, 100 km with over 3 km climb. I guess that's why he took some extra hills yesterday...

BorisGr: Wow! Sounds awesome, though I am not convinced orienteering at a beginner level is the best training for trail-running.

Jagge: Orienteering in soft ground terrain is some kind of cross training hor him. If one makes a lot of trail running, maybe it's not so bad idea to do every now and them some low intensity orienteering recovery runs/walks. I think I have heard some clubs have some sort of long orange (?) in US for these people.

I am sure he feels recovered now, because he did 3 hour jogging/walking in forest with map instead of usual the 3 hour trail/road run.
