| Cristina: | That sounds like an awesome run. Would you recommend the route? I'll have to try something like it once I get back to AZ. |

| macoach: | Nice to see that you made just the same route as gaby and me 1993 (remember the slides in swiss december snow!). marc's shin seems to work- very good. enjoy it and a happy new year. we recommend the route for good trained o-runners since summer '93 - take enough water with you. |

| Kat: | Wow! That sounds like a very tough and very long run. You must have felt quite proud of yourself for getting through all of that, especially with so much climb!
Glad to see that you are feeling better and are training again. It sucks being sick. |

| hammer: | Congrats - that is a fun run. I did that same run after the Colorado 5-day in 1994. It took me 6 hours but it was +43C at Phantom Ranch. Took 2.5 hours to do the last 7.5km on Bright Angel Trail. Lots of dust and I drank 18 l of water. Some clubmates of mine are going to do the Rim-2-Rim-2-Rim in May! |

| szurcher: | Yeah, I have gone down and up the Bright Angel Trail in July (2002) and it took much longer. The heat makes a huge difference. We were actually cold at times this year, and it was much more comfortable in general. The Rim-2-Rim-2-Rim is amazing, that would be really tough. My dad has done it, it took about 24 hours, he has a friend who did it in 11 hours though, wow!! I think one time down and up is enough!! Plus the North rim is much further away from the Colorado River than the South rim.
Happy New Years everyone!! I will be able to go running today (legs are finally recovered from the downhill running, I was really sore), which I am happy about, the last run of the year!! |
