bradc: is well underway - lots of good training of late, Ali! Great stuff.

Alibongo: I just hope I can keep going long enough to last the two days, Claire's been doing some long fell runs and she has good stamina. Fingers crossed my new found fitness will pull me through...

mhiat: You have a few physical advantages over me and I'll not begin to discuss my current lack of enthusiasm! Sure we'll survive and hopefully enjoy ourselves as well. See you Friday & now currently trying to get a lighter sleeping bag without damaging the cc.

Alibongo: Looking forward to it now, but will be happier when I know where we're going and what I'm going to be carrying.

I've already damaged my cc buying other kit! If I survive this LAMM, I might buy a light sleeping bag for next year. My old bag is 24 years old - maybe time for a new one?

Jon X: Claire, it is not just Ali that damages the cc in that household from what I hear......

Alibongo: Scary what eight year olds get up to these days... I made her pay back every penny, it took quite a while but she's now trained in light housework duties!

mhiat: Had slight panic today as card was stopped via fraud/security department. One stroppy phone call soon remedied the situation. Thankfully I was only internet shopping. Hit the high street tomorrow!
Ali - of course we know where we're going. It's 2.5 hrs north of Glasgow, we'll have compass and map and our adept navigation skills.

Alibongo: SHOPPING! What high street? Were you doing multiple hits on the cc, the fraud squad don't like that sort of thing you know?

Is that due North or magnetic north? Have you seen me with a road map - omg we'll probably end up in Aberdeen! Ok, I'll drive, you navigate.

#  Posted 2008-06-03 03:50:38
mhiat: Can't I drive and nagivate?
High Street as in Windermere not mountain, have arranged a personal shopping experience at 8:30 am as UU are cutting off the eleccy at 9am - the orders in, I just want to check it out before parting with Derek's hard earnt cash.

Alibongo: You can drive and navigate - I'll do the sleeping passenger if you like?

Personal shopping, what a treat. Why eleccy off?

mhiat: digging up said High Street as having just finished new paving & cobbles etc, have realized they didn't wire the traffic lights correctly - or something like that! Quality british engineering and planning as per usual.
