candyman: whoah, I thought your 10 points for Dickie Wren were in doubt?

#  Posted 2008-06-04 00:21:29
MikeS: It depends how you classify where somebody is 'based'. I would say it's where they live, and Dickie lives in Marsden, which is non-Sheffield, IMHO.

candyman: but I thought the concept was you got more points because it was somebody you wouldn't expect to see in Sheffield.... I'm not playing so doesn't really bother me either way

Nails: it bothers me -marsden is 'sheffield' -dickie is in dark peak -goes to orienteering sessions in sheffield -works in sheffield -cheat

#  Posted 2008-06-04 00:29:39
MikeS: I wouldn't expect to see Dickie in Sheffield. He only comes here to work, during which time most of the rest of us are at work as well, meaning a very small time window and low probability of seeing him, and therefore high points.

Nails: oh and rachs housemate, who we basically live next door to -now thats a suprise if i stood around on blake street in my running kit i'd probably see her too, oh and rach and alex as well maybe?

Nails: bolocks

MikeS: There's no need to get in a boo about it Neil, it's only a fun game.

#  Posted 2008-06-04 02:20:35
Nails: yep but then we can all cheat...

OJ: "I wouldn't expect to see Dickie in Sheffield. He only comes here to work"

But didn't you see him at the Hillsborough tram stop, where he goes every day on his commute to and from work.

I've still got no points, but I'm not bitter.

#  Posted 2008-06-04 15:53:05
MikeS: I give up. You have all ruined this game for me now!

#  Posted 2008-06-04 15:57:25
Nails: haha i knew you'd crumble.

don't worry oli you could always run up and down near the hillsbrough tram stop about 6pm -you never know who you might see...

Danger: dickie should count as sheffield based anyhoo.
assuming he works 9-5, add in the commute and he then spends the majority of his waking hours (assuming he's not an idiot with no sleep) either in or on the way to/from sheffield. that must classify as based in sheffield.
