| PG: | Often if the trails are icy, it only really is a problem on the downhills, and then you just go in the woods. I've been amazed at how much trail running I've been able to do the last few years, just by getting out and trying it. That goes for both hiking/walking trails and snowmobile trails. And if you get in the proper frame of mind, then the worse it is, the better training it is.
Here's hoping you have a healthy 2006. You're due. |

| kadley: | Remember that o-shoes with studs give great traction on ice. I use them when the shoulders of the road are covered with hardpack or ice. Good for trails, too, although we won't see much ground for a couple months now as the snowpack builds up. |
