Flying Scotsman: Think we're all the same although I've never had a root canal before. At least your done for a while with that stuff.

neomaxizoomdweeb: Hardly done. Now they will put a crown on it and while the guy was in there rooting around he found another tooth that he wants to work on. I think it is like a bad auto mechanic except the tooth guy has impunity because he can just bill it to the insurance company so there is no incentive not to find more work.

Flying Scotsman: Bummer...what about a 2nd opinion if your skeptical? You can hardly complain, AR racers have notoriously bad teeth with all the energy bars and drinks coupled with not brushing your teeth for 3 or 4 days if racing! Ask Roger, really soft teeth but he's super manly (Read: Pain freak) and doesn't even use anesthetic's - no way Jose, not me.

ebone: To atone for all those ARs and constant eating during training periods, I've started carrying a toothbrush in my pocket, so I can brush after lunch or any other morsel. Sorry about your ordeal, Mahican.

Yukon King: what's bad about root canals? is it the hideous screeching noises?generally, they seem fine to me....& for the crown fitting & installation appointments you simply DONT need anesthetic, I never use it for those two appt.s cuz I hate getting the skanky injection in the first place...

btw Hb, i log my cr*ppy little walks etc cuz I track my activity levels so I know what's up w my arthritis, it's kind of a disease log, not adventure racing, sorry for pirating yer website Ken :), I guess ya see all kinds on here now (um, poker?! yeah, hmmm). But it is interesting to read about you-all & your crazy activities. This site is my favorite at the moment, blangton ref'ed it a few weeks ago as dream destination...

neomaxizoomdweeb: I was wondering if he was going to needle me again before the next grinding session since the tooth is now essentially dead.

I was afraid that there might be some spillover if I added to Haggis' dission on Middle's log. It is pretty funny. i wonder if the term "attackpoint nazi" has been used before or is Haggis' to own.

i have been thinking about doing that race but not sure I could stand the time away from the family. Maybe I could make it a family vacation. but then my wife may not appreciate her vacation being used to chase me through the mountains.

Yukon King: plunk them at the end in some faboo campsite/B&B/whatever and cycle quickly towards them...then they can organize your first shower for you, and yer lawn chair, & then BBQ steaks for you N stuff. It'll be nice.
