| Nev-Monster: | I saw Control in the fall at the Edmonton Film Fest and well, wasn't sure what I thought of it. A friend of mine said, "that movie makes me want to go see a movie about Tony Wilson and Manchester" except they've already made that movie.
I liked how they didn't try to gloss over what jerks the other guys in the band were, especially Peter Hook the bassist. When people ask me how the movie was, and it's hard to say it's really good when it's about the suicide of an awesome musician just before he becomes famous. Doesn't exactly leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. |

| Meridian: | I really liked it. You kinda knew from the start it was going to be a dark film. I mean the guy did commit suicide and it was focused on his issues based on his wifes memoirs/perspective. Apparently his wife had engraved on his tombstone "Love will tear us apart". How fitting. Good insight on his personal life. At least it had moments to chuckle over the banter about the Buzzcocks. |
