glenn: Prefer cloth badges?

blairtrewin: Was this the ACT Novice Championships? This is (or was) a competition for which, if I recall correctly, you're ineligible if you´ve ever been in an ACT team or placed in an ACT championships (it´s usually run the same weekend as the nationals). Always seems a bit incongruous when it's won, as sometimes happens, by a veteran who´s been competing for 20 or 30 (or more) years.

Grant: where is the trophy? I can't find it anywhere, hope you haven't chucked it already?

Miss Jones: I prefer useful items so no, not cloth badges! :-)
Yes Blair, I think that's what it must have been...quite a funny award really.
And the trophy is getting engraved at present

fish: Think I won the mens novice champs at the north lyneham crossie one year.

Congrats on the win and also (a bit belatedly) on a rather impressive training diary for this year.

blairtrewin: I have forgotten whether I ever won it or not. If I did it was in 1993 when I got my one and only ACT XC win (on nationals weekend), and a course record to boot because it was the first time on a new course. Shaun Creighton took the small matter of 7 minutes off the record the next year....
