| bbrooke: | A friend and I have both had that problem. Do you know how to do a "hard reset"? If not, I'll dig up the instructions. |

| Boojums: | I tried a hard reset - nothing. Then I discovered the soft reset, which actually brought it back to life. In the past I've just left in the cradle and it is generally "awake" by the time I want to use it again. But this happens rather frequently, not to mention the almost continual failure to download on the first try. |

| jingo6390: | I'm also having problems with my FR. How do you do the "hard reset"? and "soft reset"? |

| GlenT: | Make sure you keep the contacts clean (good design - guarantee that they'll be exposed to corrosive sweat every time you use the device). I think that sometimes my Forerunner says that it's charging, but really isn't. I've had less frequent "won't turn on" issues if I make sure I rinse and wipe the contacts after each use. |
