I believe DVOA and St Louis are hooked to the USOF website

Allison (and anyone else) can get to the DVOA site through http://www.dvoa.org

Since USOF's site is down, all the subdomains that redirect to club sites don't work as well. If you know the site's 'actual' url, you can still get there. Don't know another way for St Louis, sorry. Perhaps some sites only use the USOF-provided URL.

Thanks Julie! my mom (or sister) had the DVOA website saved on this computer as the one from the USOF website not our real one.

I am out of town but will follow up on this one way or another, and I'll try to post again when it's available (or you may be able to get there yourselves before I can post again).

Since other sites in the us.orienteering.org domain are also apparently affected, I wonder if fossil can address something on his end...

Someone apparently has a usorienteering.org site up (no dot between us and orienteering) which looks like a decoy site. Don't go there.

Yes, it was a DNS problem, which means call me. All the individual websites were fine, but when DNS falls over you just can't get there from here. Thank you, Janet, for e-mailing me about it. I got in touch with the ISP earlier tonight and it's all working again now. I'll be working on adding more redundancy to reduce the likelihood of this happening again.

Not working now.

If it's not working for you now, try clearing your browser cache. If that doesn't work, exit and restart your browser. A lot of browsers these days seem to think they should keep their own DNS cache rather than relying on the OS to do it for them. Unfortunately they don't tend to follow best practices and screw your over when it comes to error recovery.

Thanks, Mitch! It worked for me.
