A neat loop you might try if you want some cross-country work is down to the 1-1 trail, come out the gate side of Stony (left as you run up the hill), then take the back side of the commissary out and around the big ridgeline the back side of the ski slope (that's the part that lacks a trail...sort of the route of the time trial that ended at our place), and come back along the ski slope (or over the top if the gate is locked - it was the week after grad week, but I haven't been home for awhile to know about now). I really like that run - keeps me off the pavement! Happy training. My hubby will be around after the long weekend (he and kids are flying back tonight, but headed down to PA for the holiday), feel free to take him out and wear him out trying to keep up with you! |
