I havent ever stayed in any always just stay at Pirets old school mates, according to Lonely planet "Academic Hostel" is the best www.academichostel.com when are you getting here?? are you going to do any other events in europe?? we are leaving Essti on 20th july for Oringen and then after that head to UK.

deMon: Gonna arrive early September for the Rogaine and have a few days other side. Any chance you could find a map of Karula Nat Park or similar, haven't found anything decent yet. If you send it over I'll fire over some pesos.

these are some Orienteering maps in the area cant find any topo maps on the internet so will go into town tomorrow and ask if they have any will let you know.

birdman: Re hostels, the party dynamics of Tallinn may have changed a bit since '01, but if they haven't then make your choice of whether you stay somewhere in the old town or out in the burbs based on whether you want sleep or not. I think where I stayed was "The Old Barn" or something like that, just within the city walls. Great location, but definitely a non-sleeping option.
