BorisGr: So where is Ross this whole time while you guys are training? And why isn't he logging?

Samantha: He is working the whole time I'm training and not logging because he, sadly, isn't training. He works about 11+ hours a day and might have to start going in on weekends too. I'm trying to get him to quit and train with me, but he just won't listen :)

szurcher: wow, that's too bad. What is he doing? Sounds important if he has to work so much. And you, are you teaching again? Taking any classes?
If I worked any more than I do (4.5 days a week) I wouldn't be able to do the training I am doing, not only would time be an issue, but sleep too! Give him my best, and tell him that you've got the right idea, quitting his jog and training you sounds like the best option!!

Samantha: He is working in a Bio lab as a tech - which normally could have normal hours but his lab is insane and they all work all the time. His supervisor wanted him to be in work at 8 every morning (including weekends) and 8 every night to inject mice. That's 84+ hours a week! He's trying to work it out, but it's tough.
I am an assistant teacher in an elementary school, and my hours are really nice. I work 8-3 and then don't have much or any homework! I will be taking a class in March and I was thinking about starting grad school in the fall - but I haven't applied anywhere. I am worried about it eating into my time and not having time for training as I would work during the day and take classes at night. I need to put more thought into all of it to figure it out.
Sounds like you are still happy with work, yes?

BorisGr: Want to apply to Uppsala for grad school? I hear Zan is doing it...

#  Posted 2006-01-15 02:56:35
Samantha: Zan did mention to me that she was thinking about it. I'm not sure I want to leave the country... and I would need to see if they had education classes in english :)
