fthfl stwrd rudy: So much to do even for the little sprint I am doing next weekend, IM training seems like really much. I guess even if you are a great swimmer like you are you lose your tune if you don't swim. Is it as hard to get back as running or biking tune?

afflitto: No it is not that bad except I sacrifice myswimming due to lack of training time........I have no speed but could get by endurance wise if I needed..........great to hear you are doing a sprint......is this the one you did last year at that resort, I can't remember the name......

fthfl stwrd rudy: innsbruck estates...no, it is the south county y tri, very sprint 400-11-3. its sort of become a tradition to do it with some friends. The bike course unfortunately has had more and more car traffic, but the run course goes into a park and is a little hilly, grass and pavement mix, so thats nice.

Whats the most enjoyable open water swim you've ever done -competitive or not? Seems like it would be fun to try to swim the channel or something.

afflitto: Need to think about that.......definitely ocean training we did in Florida during college........the added bouyancy of salt water is a great help.........good luck with your tri........it is a good way to cross train and add variety to racing and training......Innsbruck.........brutal course......I remember....

fthfl stwrd rudy: 'brutal' meaning lots of hills yes? but very nice, hills, forests and lakes. You did an event there?
