| Becks: | If you read through these comments again Doug, there are lot of positives out there. From what I could see on the internet (not much, granted, but still), you must have had some really good sections of orienteering out there. Have you thought about the fact that it's not your basic technique perhaps, but the performance of it under race pressure? You'd put a huge amount of extra stuff on yourself with it being last JWOC, and you'd trained really well out there for weeks. I know you're disappointed and you're totally allowed to be, but don't let this be a set back. Get out there to some big fun events over the summer and kick some arse! Do it for me stuck in this stupid lab if nothing else. |

| Lard: | I'd sack your coach, he must be crap. |

| JennyJ: | Also, I reckon you should try to put the actual week on to AP properly as it will be useful to look back on and also for other juniors to look back at. Don't be so hard on yourself - plenty of people have had a bad final JWOC and run very well as seniors and I'm certain you will. |

| Jon X: | I agree (with Jenny and Becks I mean, reserve judgement on Lard!).
Quite right to be disappointed that it didn't work out for you as you know you could have done better, but don't lose sight of the positives too - you know yourself that there are plenty of things from this season including parts of JWOC to show that you can be right in there amongst the seniors next season. Not forgetting that turning off White Chicks after 20 mins is a major positive too! What's your plans for the rest of the summer, are you showing up at any of the mid week hill races? |

| hel vino: | Don't dwell on it, straight onto the next thing, plenty more fun to be had if you progress your training year on year & pick out some goals for in the medium term, eg. wuoc 2010 Borlange sounds quality - could be nice revenge on the Swedish terrain to take a medal there.. :) |

| Dixie: | You've put in some great performances this year and there's plenty of time left (this year) for many more! Anyway you'll need to keep training hard to stay ahead of Jethro!!! See you at Maddy Moss B&B! |
