capt'n smythie: haha does that count as an orienteering event? More like a cross country race I thought! There was a mixed relay sprint event after easter this year which was good fun, you would have enjoyed that one... and the NOL sprint on littlechilds was good fun as well. But yes I agree, it must be nice to have lots of good quality sprints... just don't think we have the right areas down here for a sprint.

PatS: yeah we're always gonna struggle in Oz since we're a new country so don't have medieval town centres and the illogical street plan that goes along with them, and cause we're such a big country we've never been forced to squeeze lots of stuff into a small area, both of which make ideal sprint areas.

We do have decent areas, uni's being the most prolific, but the problem is at a major event there is rarely going to be a quality sprint area in proximity to quality forest.
